The Royal Crown Derby Porcelain Co. Ltd. is a manufacturer of fine quality bone china products. The present factory in Derby was set up in 1878 but the company origin can be traced back in 1750. The company specializes in production of porcelain tableware, giftware and collectables bone china figurines that are sold in china and glass retailers and department stores, both in the UK and overseas. There is also a subsidiary in North Hollywood, California, USA, that is in charge of sales and distribution in that country. Interestingly enough, some items of porcelain ware are hand-gilding with 22-carat gold.
